Top Box

Post by freeride on Wed 17 Aug 2011, 10:38 pm

Seen lots of info on top boxes. I have a Honda rack with a marked capacity of 2.5 kg.All I'm looking for is a small top box to put my lid in when I park? I'm not going touring or anything like that but I might buy a couple of groceries from a well known supermarket to bring home.
All I ever seem to do is keep (very nearly) dropping my helmet when I carry it round.Which box is suitable and how does it bolt on?

Kappa 28 litre fits one Caberg trip helmet (fairly large this)
Kappa 42 litre fits 2 crash helmets with a bit of a push.

Both carry loads of stuff, and I regularly fill mine with heavy groceries and that's more than 2.5Kgs, I assure you.

There is a mounting plate that is universal (apparently this fits Givi boxes too, but never tried TBH) and this bolts on to a Renntec carrier rack using strong mounting brackets, but pokes out a bit over the back surface of this (no biggy though)

Hope this helps
