PC26 / PC32 fork tubes same?

Post by veljar on Thu 24 Jun 2010, 1:58 pm

I had a crash and I damaged my fork tubes. I found some used and some new on ebay.

These are new: http://cgi.ebay.fr/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=270536821738#ht_500wt_919 at good price they are not original but they should be good.

Are pc 26 / pc 32 tubes identical? I am asking because of bolts and other small things.

Also, any suggestion that would help me to pick between new tubes (not original) and used tubes original is welcome.

I would go for used but I am afraid that I will receive repaired tubes or damaged or something like that. I can repair my tubes but chrome is damaged and I don't want them... so if I get repaired tubes I will kill my self with them.

Yes, the stanchions themselves are identical throughout all years; PC26/32 and S faired variants. The springs and spacers inside are not. If you decide to buy used forks instead, get a matched pair.

All Bike Engineering provide good value, good quality stanchions.
