shims or not? Empty shims or not?

Post by gillers50 on Sat 18 May 2019, 9:34 am

I have just added a 2004 cbf250 to my stable for poodling around on and before I service the thing, can anyone please tell me if the valve clearences are done using shims?  If so are the shims for the cb500 the same as the cbf. If yes, The shim exchange system seems ideal.

All Honda shims these days are the same size, personally i prefer tappets as you don't have to retime the engine everytime you need to change a shim.
