torque settings for sump bolts???

Post by geewhizz on Sat 29 Dec 2018, 2:32 pm

As in the title - I'm looking for the torque settings for the 12 sump bolts. Its not clear in my Haynes manual what they should be. Cheers Geewhizz

I would use the setting listed for the crankcase bolts. I think the sump bolts are 6mm so it would be 12 Nm?

I also thought 12nm, or 19nm I remember it not been a massive amount considering

I went for 12 and that feels about right so wouldn't want to go any further, thanks Lucky and James.

If in doubt go for the lower one Smile  You can always (carefully) 'nip them up' if it leaks...
