Kickstand looks ok? Empty Kickstand looks ok?

Post by fgclark123 on Thu 09 Aug 2018, 2:36 pm

Hi guys, the shoe of my kickstand came off recently. I saw this on ebay - think it looks ok?

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/HONDA-CB-500-1995-SIDE-STAND-WITH-FITTINGS-BOX/272777939143?hash=item3f82d508c7%3Ag%3AIrwAAOSwadpZeF2V&_sacat=0&_nkw=cb500+stand+-spring&_from=R40&rt=nc&_trksid=m570.l1313

Also is the electric trigger mechanism tricky to work with? I can just about get by with the current shoeless stand, wondering if it's a can of worms situation...

thanks

Yup that one on ebay has the knobble you put your foot onto missing.
If Andy doesn't have one I know that I do have one but I'm away from home for another week yet

Thanks. Frustrating to have an engine turning over A1 pitch perfect, but the little things beginning to wear out. Still beautiful bike and loving this summer. Best chaps.

If you can't get a good one it might be worth investigating getting a new foot welded on. That is, assuming you know someone handy or cheap with welding.
