Since the demise of free photobucket, what is now the consensus on the best free hosting site?

There's a thread on here somewhere.

Since the demise of Photobucket, I don't post pics any more.

I use Google Photo's but there are others.

I think the post referred to is mine -

There's a link on there with a review of online photo storage options

I'll see if I can get something sorted out with my personal paid hosting for most users to use.

Will be a request only service for long term users (75+ posts)

I'll get a post written up now.

Just looked into it and it's not a possibility.

Is the image hoster place directly linked in the 'quick reply' box not any good? I have always just used that. Maybe if no one else does there is a reason why I shouldn't?

There is nothing wrong with using the hosting method that you use CeeJay, it's just that the forum pays through the nose for the image hosting that comes with the webhosting for the site.
That's why most try to use 3rd party hosting sites - not only does the 3rd party allow for more options but you have control over the images. I hope this helps!

Ah I see... so if it is increasing the webhost cost I will upload elsewhere in future!

But if i go to www.servimg.com it says image hosting is free? Is it not if I upload images via the forum?
