Tire Choices

Post by antelopeDAZ on Sun 08 Apr 2018, 3:55 am

Hi Guys

ive just had my first track day on my 2000 CB and im looking at different tires that are available for it

i was wondering if anyone had tried using different sizes to the standard ones ( was told a 140 fits on the rear no problem) and whether anyone has used a 70 height tire front and rear as opposed to an 80 as that opens up my options a lot

thanks in advance

Dunlop alpha 13's
bridgestone s20 evo

Both in 110/70/17 and 140/70/17 sizes

Bridgestones are the cheaper option and are great I used to rum them on the road they stick and stick. Confidence inspiring is an understatement!

bt45 in the cb500 ( standard ) size works fine for getting your knee down,

i have a 140/70/17 on the rear atm works fine but tips in easier, i don't think you need to change tbh...

me fitting the 140

That's a good video! Thanks I'm running bt45s at the minute and can vouch for them, im looking more for the track to be honest but ideally being able to use them for both to save chopping and changing wheels all the time
