Petcock/fuel tap query Empty Petcock/fuel tap query

Post by Old Wobbly on Wed 14 Feb 2018, 11:44 am

Hi all
A while back in another thread, James Hambleton suggested that a Honda cbr600 fuel tap would fit on our machines, but lacked a vacuum take off. Have been doing some digging as I'm allergic to the price of a new Honda cb500 tap.
It would appear that the Honda cbr600 F2(1991-1994) has a tap with a vacuum take off that is a dead ringer for ours...and there are very reasonably priced aftermarket replacements on fleabay at £20 or so from uk stockists.
I'm very interested in grabbing one as I've had fuel tap problems in the past.....
So if you're interested jump on fleabay and look for Honda cbr600 fuel tap....and let me know what you think.

If I'm barking up the wrong tree or this has already been done to death please let me know!

I have the same issue and would love to know if anyone has a part that i could use instead of the ridiculously priced fuel tap enclosure?
