[solved]Front mudguard removal Empty [solved]Front mudguard removal

Post by fgclark123 on Sat 30 Sep 2017, 3:29 pm

Hi there,

Can anyone let me know if the front mudguard comes off without having to remove the front wheel? I have a 2003 model.

I'm fitting an extender, just want to get an idea of what I'm in for. It looks like it might come off without messing with the wheel...

Much appreciated, thanks.

Hi,

It does come off without removing the wheel, well that's at least how I do it.

Hi there, I've just got round to the job. I've removed the bolts, but now, the mud guard won't "pop" out between the forks so easily. I think it will crack before it comes out, as I try to force it out.

Any ideas? Shall I just risk cracking it, or is wheel removal the only way...?

(or just fit the extender with the mudguard in place)

Thanks

It only takes a Minute to get front wheel out and it will be a lot easier.
Mudguard should come out though without wheel out.
