Wheel Bearings

Post by Fair Weather Rider on Fri 08 Sep 2017, 3:16 pm

Can anyone tell me if the bearing sizes for the rear sprocket carrier changed after 1996?
I thought they were standard throughout the CB5 range.
2x6303's and 1x6304.
The reason I ask is that I ordered a set to get my spare rear ready for when I need a tyre change.
They have sent me 2x6303's correct for wheel, but the carrier bearing they have sent is a 6204, which is too small.
Can't imagine Honda changing something like that, or have the bearing company sent the wrong size?
I have ordered the correct size now, but don't want to hassle the original supplier if there was a change by Honda.

Happy days.

Disc models use a 6304 bearing  (20×52×15)

There is a sprocket carrier bearing overlap between models.
