Solved [solved]replacement fuel tank preferably green

Post by Crash- Elmit on Sun 23 Jul 2017, 3:47 am

Hi folks.
my tank is getting bad in certain places due to rust, especially along the bottom edges and where the seat rubs.

I'm looking for a spare so I have a tank to use while I get mine fixed/resprayed, as I use the bike all year round so cannot have it off road

I have a dark green fuel tank off a 1994 drum model that is surplus to requirements now. It is not perfect, but sounds a bit better than yours. I will post up pictures of it tomorrow.

Yes - sorry was only able to take them last night.

See the pics below. As I say, given it is a 23 year old bike, it isn't perfect. I have tried to highlight all the flaws in the photos. Interestingly, the is definitely dark green underneath, but appears much darker on the outside surface (almost black). I have never had the bike together in standard trim so am not sure if this is usual. In any event, if you want any more pictures, let me know!
