Fork work

Post by Stevie Gimo on Tue 30 May 2017, 10:08 pm

Just got the 500s ( see introduction) & I think the front end is a bit to soft for my liking so my thoughts are.
1/ Replenish the oil, maybe for a higher weight
2/ Fit progressive type springs
As a cost saving exercise I'll do them in the above order, so which is a good quality type of oil anyone could recommend?
If it's still a bit softish after the oil change then I'll move to step 2, so any spring recommendations?

I just changed my oil and seals and bushes.
(I did get a seal leak which forced the issue a bit)

It made quite a difference to the handling.
It does what I want it to much better now.
