Ive been offered a cb500's  its been layed up over 6yrs ..its in good condition .now i cb500v .. what are differences between them bar top fairing and car like square clocks.. would s be much better for motorways?is there any other differences is frame different to accomadate top fairing

Front engine mounting bolt, head stock angle. I believe there is a difference with the loom. Tank is slightly different for the fairing lug.

I think that is counteracted by slow blue though scratch study

Nah... wife been made unemployed yesterday..so thats end of that... did you fine a cheap one beresford?

On the subject of the CB500S: they tend to (here in the uk, anyway) hold their value a bit better because of the fairing.

Assuming your friend doesn't want too much money for it I would get it, do it up/get it working and then sell it (or keep it if you like it).

On subject of colour apparently its called moody blue...  i havent struck a deal with owner of cb's yet we see, thanks for your help beresford...
