Hello cb500 racer

Post by l.t.racing on Wed 25 Jan 2017, 3:56 pm

Hi.

Raced a cb500 on and off since 2008. Brought 2 more for this year, on with rebuilding them, but when spending from 3-4k each bike takes its time. Was going to post a pic of my last bike which looked the same put can put links up for 7 days.

Thanks lee

Hello lee!

I really didn't think we had that restriction in place, but hey, I probably don't know everything.

Can you post images (using image tags), rather than direct links?  Like this:

Code:

Best of luck (we'd like to see your picture!)

Strange.  I just did a bit of playing around with a new test account - I managed to post pictures!

You are not allowed to post links (like this: http://www.google.co.uk ), so you need to make sure that your image link has image tags around it, like this:

Code:
[img]http://i.imgur.com/uWFgMvE.jpg[/img]

or else your picture will be identified as a link and rejected (yours does not need to be in the 'code' box - mine is just in there so you can see the code rather than the image).

If you are using photobucket it might be worth getting a direct link (http://illiweb.com/fa/pbucket.gif) and then putting [image] tags around it (as above).

Looks ace. Reminds me a bit of Sam Palfreyman's bike except for the wheels cos I think he usually runs silver ones.

I don't know lara so much as that jody chalk - she's the aha ahem "token woman" rider I seem to always see. Her white and blue wheels are pretty distinctive and she seems to finish in the top 10 every time.

Wow I didn't know she'd done as well as that. She does always look smooth - but not quite as aggressive as some of the others, which actually is probably to her credit because she doesn't crash as much. "To finish first you must first finish" - etc.

The different front disc any good compaired to the stanard Honda steel one?

Yep sheps dose them like that and the all in one seat unit.   On that bike in pics think it was lucas is it, think that was that it was ok. But now got 2 armstrong disc for these two im building. I never used one yet, but most people use them and say better then stock.

I'm sure it was the amstrong floating discs and not solid ones?

hi,

did you go by the name reverend on the cb500 racing forum? I remember looking at the build on there taking inspiration when setting out to rebuild my 500.

lovely looking bike, seem to remember it saying it was sold?
