Wheels Refurb

Post by freeride on Tue 03 Jan 2017, 10:32 pm

I keep losing air in my tyres I'm told it's the corrosion making a poor seal the tyre shop take the tyre off clean the wheel put it back on and don't charge me. I think it's time I did something about it! So what's the best -paint, powder coated and any suggestions of where to go? I just want normal 1999 silver that's all please!

I would be interested in that too, my front wheel is in a sorry state.
Could do with the paint code for the silver wheels.

strongly doubt it but any silver paint will be fine, ideally finished with a 2k lacquer coating.

I also have to get my wheels refurbed as my rear tyre was losing air. The cost of my local place is around £100 per wheel which is not too bad. My tyre fitter used a substance called liquid rubber which made a good seal and is still holding pressure a few months later. Here is a thread about it;
