Anyone have a spare radiator?

Post by ThunderChild1898 on Tue 08 Nov 2016, 12:29 am

Has anyone got a decent solid radiator for my 99 CB? The radiator that came with the bike was described as having a 'slight weep' ...this after 2 weeks of ownership has infact materialised into being a large drip! Im down in kent near Sevenoaks if theres anyone local. Cheers

As a temporary bodge you can use gasket sealant to stop it. Get the nozzle and aim it between the fins. This worked for me for about 2 weeks/500 miles before it got considerably worse so I fitted a Delkevic one.  http://direct.delkevic.co.uk/detail.php?Tier0=0&Tier1=4118263&Record=0&RecordCount=100&Search=&Id=11927&Title=NEW+Aluminum+OEM+Replacement+Radiator+Honda+CB500+R-Y+1-3+94-05+SPORT+X-Y+98-03

I do believe that I have one in my garage, I'll check and let you know.
I'm in the Windsor area.

My spare radiator, all good, no leaks, no damage and all brackets as they should be  £50 + postage or can collect.

Hi AndyC, thanks for the offer! Perfect timing as I was umming an arghing about a chinese cheapy on fleabay and I really didnt fancy spending lots of money on a new old stock OEM one, I dont think delkevic are much cheaper!...bit of a sore point on this bike wasnt expecting to spend so much so soon! Ill happily take it after this weekend IF my old trick of slow set alraldite doesnt fix it (if i even find the hole!) -how much would P+P be? cheers
