A big hi to one an all. Just bought a 2001 500S,rode her back home 60 miles in torrential rain, never missed a beat. Looking forward to reading the advice from owners

Hi JB.

Welcome to the forum.

What made you get rid of your RT? I have one as well as my CB. They're both great bikes, in very different ways.

If you search 'photos', there's plenty of advice. I use photo bucket, which works well.

Thanks for the Welcome yes I agree the RT is a great bike I actually returned to biking after an absence of over 30 years earlier this year the RT was just the right bike at the right price at the right time, I had it for just over 7 months and did nearly eight Thousand Miles on her. I was always looking for a reliable bike that I could do some touring on I guess maybe I should have concentrated on the cb500 first.

Glad to hear you've got a CB500! Welcome to the club Smile

If you want to post pictures have to look this topic, which should tell you how to do it:

We'd always like to see pictures of your bike (and probably other things!)

Nice looking bike in great condition. Is it low mileage?

You obviously like blue (assuming that's your car in the pics too?).

Top Tip - On the photobucket page, there's an IMG box on the right hand side. If you copy that link into your forum post, people can only see the pictures you intend to share.

Appreciate the photobucket tip yes she is reasonably low mileage when I pick her up last Saturday she just tipped over the 18000 miles fully documented every MOT since day one I was particularly attracted to this one because of its fastidious service history and the sensible extras added such as the upgraded suspension stainless exhaust built on Sat Nav, luggage etc. As long as the weather's not too dangerous should be used throughout the winter and then hopefully some extensive touring during the summer.

If you google something like "Round Britain Rally" you'll see that a previous owner took part in this event, you basically ride to/visit delegated points all around the British isles and amount points for how many you can visit/document/photograph,the badge is for 100% places visited on this bike.

I've never taken part, but it is a bonkers, but great, event.

If you need an excuse to ride your motorcycle all around the UK then sign up...
