I find that bike manufacturers don't typically offer official 0-60 times. Maybe because it would vary so much depending on the weight of the rider. 13.2 quarter mile and 4.7 to 60 are the numbers I usually go by.

Is the GPZ500S much faster?
I've read magazines putting its 0-60 at 4.49 seconds.

The figures from MCN are a bit strange .
Honda CB500 57bhp.  Weight 173kg.  Top speed 120mph. 1/4 mile time 13.2 sec.
Kawasaki GPZ500  47bhp.  Weight 176kg.  Top speed 125mph.  1/4 mile time 13.0 sec.

Top speed 120?! Not with me on it, it won't!

Excellent. Drag race set up, even if he doesn't know about it eh?
Make sure you have just given it a service and fresh fuel  Very Happy.

Hold on a minute, did you decide to keep your CB500?
Wasn't it up for sale?

It's possible that the MCN figures are wrong , they often are, but I wouldn't have thought that the GPZ could be faster than the CB having only 47bhp to the CB's 57bhp. Would a fairing make that much difference ?

GPZ500S has 60hp according to this website. MCN often has specs wrong.

Would a CB500S with the half fairing be just as fast?

If someone would be kind enough to lend me a GPZ for a short while I would post the comparison here
