not revving!!!!!

So i was ridding along when thw whole bike shuderd and the revs dropped to like 5000 and i cant go any higher i have no power! any idea what it could be?

It could be an air leak, though I think at 5K rpm the main jet starts to kick in (I'm not sure).

Can you freely rev it in neutral or with the clutch pulled in?

the more I think about it.... check your spark plugs, when one of mine popped out it wouldn't rev past 5k rpm. Remove the spark plug and ground it against the engine and see if it sparks, if it does check the other. if both spark when you press the starter button then it might eliminates the coils.

If it isn't a coils/spark plug problem then it might be worth checking the fuel tap vacuum hose - if this is starting to fail it could be restricting the fuel. Also worth checking you aren't getting a vacuum in the fuel tank (pop the cap after riding fast - if you hear a hiss then it suggests the fuel tank breather is blocked).

Having said all that I'd still suspect an ignition problem... I could be wrong!
