Haha. Do you dry your exhaust after every wet ride?

Ah, I was wondering. When unfolded I thought it was a quick way to extract eyeballs. In folded position it is withholding all other materials to fit easily in the shed blocking entrance with wire.

Finally something usefull.

Cheers,

Surprisingly nice weather through in the west of Scotland today.
Warm with a light breeze, so perfect for spraying the exhaust.
Back to presentable with Kurust & Simoniz VHT Paint for just over a tenner, as opposed to a few hundred quid for the full stainless system I’d been contemplating.

Smut & innuendo alert…

Next time I’ll remove her knickers before I start...
Now I’ve got gussets AND gaskets to replace !

Nice work. I need to take mine off and do it again. The VHT has held up well, but I should have kurusted it first.

I though those things were some kind of puzzle you had to untangle before it poked you in the eye...

Anyway, exhaust looks a lot better. A word of warning - however well you paint they tend to go rusty in a year or so (possibly longer if you don't ride in the winter/rain). If you want to make it last longer you need to fit a 'fenda-extenda' (even a DIY one) *and* put a mud-flap on the bottom.
