New CB owner from Madrid

Post by Ignifugo on Fri 06 May 2016, 9:58 am

I was moving around Madrid in my 125cc scooter a few months back when by pure luck I ran into a great deal, a really well maintained 1 owner CB500 for just 400€! (120K km in the odometer but running like a clock).

I bought it the same day, but then there was just a little thing impeding me from going for a ride, I still needed a license...

I got my A2 license in mid February and I have been riding my little CB daily since I got it, so far it has been an excellent bike (it's easy to see an improvement from my Piaggio X9).

The only mods and repairs I have made are:

  • 47bhp Limitation Kit
  • New indicator switch
  • New speedo cable
  • Smaller indicator lights
  • New grips and counterweights

A few photos of the machine:

Thanks everyone!!

It has been (so far) a good deal indeed. I have been thinking about jumping to the "big bikes" for almost two years, but never found the time/money.

The motorcycle is from the husband of a friend, it was his daily for 16 years. He was thinking on selling it but didn't want to get into the ads and selling process so I said I would be interested if the price was right, the rest you already know.

Having the motorcycle in the garage and seeing it everyday when I got in my piaggio was the best incentive to get the license xD.
