SOLD: Ready to Fit Painted NC29 Side Stand

Post by jerryfudd on Wed 03 Feb 2016, 1:52 pm

Hi,

After this thread I went through the process of getting a longer side stand then modifying the foot angle for a better fit and finally powder coating (which took MUCH longer than I expected).

Anyway picked it up yesterday and after all that I'm just not sure I like the look despite thinking revised lean angle on the stand is so much nicer both aesthetically and comfortable when getting on or off.

Any one fancy taking it off my hands?

£35 inc p&p (thats what it cost me to get it and coat it plus a few quid for postage)

Dan

I maybe am interested in this, do you have any photo's showing the clearance on the chain and do you know if it can be installed and be ok with the main stand still in situe?

Unfortunately it does foul the centrestand.  Neutral
I get by with mine as I can't run a centrestand anyway due to the 160 rear tyre.
I find it much neater than the original which always struck me as a cheap afterthought anyway.

Hi James....... as AndyC says - yes it does....... but also not.

If both are up then the stand just touches the centrestand.

So if you want the centrestand down - put the side stand down first (as you probably would do anyway to get off the bike) and then leave it down while you deploy the centre. Then the side can be put back up if you so wish BUT just remember to put it down again before taking it off the centre.
