hi all just last saturday purchased my first cbf 500 08 7,200 miles silver abs lovley to ride so fr but never owning 1 before  is there anything to look out for ,things that are a common fault ect also is the seviceing every 4000 miles as on my er5 any other good info  thanks in advance Shocked

Honda say change the oil and filter every 8000 miles or once per year. Some people change the oil every 4000 for good measure but it isn't in the service schedule.

Only badly designed part, I reckon, is the camchain tensioner lifter. A few searches on here and elsewhere will reveal why.

Welcome to you mate!
They're good solid bikes if serviced regularly. I'm not sure of the brake setup on the CBF but the CB suffers from seized caliper sliders etc so it's worth stripping them as a matter of course and greasing once a year.
