I like that too..... first seems a little terminator style which is why I guess it's called borg

this is the 2nd one -> http://www.dafont.com/arb-66-neon-jun-37.font

it installs two fonts 'block' and 'line' and its the line one.

Hold your horses! Let's keep a few ideas bouncing about and then it to a poll. I think these latest idea are really, really good, but I want something that looks 'factory'..... Anyone who's seen my bike will appreciate what I'm on about.

I edited my post as I saw after you were already referencing your bike which meant that irony wasn't the correct response.

I also like ET's over all the others. As for mugs, t-shirts and so on, something like Cafe Press might be a good idea for the quantities involved.

Yes indeed.

I like the subtle strikethrough. Previous suggestion 'borg' had a much more noticeable strikethrough that was disturbing to the eye, but this is better. Actually, I'm thinking 'why not all of the text? This seems sort of half-done.

Badseeds: I see your point, especially resp. retaining the original(!) look of your bike. Also, if we succeed in making it look 'factory', sullivj may be persuaded into applying said sticker to Tango Wink
Honda font?

In any case, remember this is text, not a logo. It must remain readable - preferably on a flyby level.

I think the only way it'll make it on to Tango is if I apply it while he isn't looking Smile

Are we still talking about cut vinyl? If that's the case, maybe silver with black edge would be less intrusive and look better on non-black areas.

I did a good bit of searching to try and find the same font as the 'CB500' stock text - simple answer, I didn't find it, so I used an italic font which was similar and added the strike-through to the '500' bit myself.  I only did the '500' part with the strike-through because I wanted to reference the similar effect in the OEM logotype.

Without someone taking ages to carefully design a logotype it won't ever look 'factory' - it can be done, but it will take ages as they will have to make every letter by hand and would then have to design suitable letters that look 'right' when put next to the existing 'CB500' letters from the original logotype.

Also, if anyone knows a good place for going these kind of vinyl cut stickers/logos then please say or post a link - I have looked at a few but the more the merrier.

For those who want to put the logo on other things or use it for any purpose:

Thanks - I wasn't complaining in the previous post, I just figured it might be worth explaining how I made the logo
and why it won't look 'stock' without a fair bit of work!

As John Lydgate wrote "you can please some of the people all of the time, you can please all of the people some of the time but you can't please all of the people all of the time".

As you wrote earlier i can see the potential of this not happening because we will go too and fro with people wanting there own preference.

Id say just go do it, most seem to like what you have done...I know i do Very Happy
