just a quick update... in an effort to keep this moving forward I've exchanged a couple of mails with ET and got the design and dimensions passed on to a graphics supplier who is offering to make them up for a reasonable price so I have purchased a single one to trial up which is currently being made.

that's not to say anything is final but thought it might be good to get one on a bike to get some more opinions and if the feedback is positive we can get a larger order put in and start getting them out to those that want them.

my compliments to ET, it just turned up and looks really good - will get it on the bike about 7-8ish and get some more pics to see what the general opinion is.

Im glad its getting done and it looks good, looking forward to contributing to the site and getting a sticker for free (thats the way i see it anyway).

Is pricing open for debate? id like it to be kinda like buying a poppy ie give what you want (within reason).

That looks pretty good, even if I do say so myself Smile

Just to check: is that in silver or black?

...its in silver Smile

@steady Eddy not sure of pricing just yet but a couple of ideas have been thrown around. I think its best to see how the dimensions look on the bike and if people are happy with it first as both of those things would change anything that's decided.

The sticker looks great, then again your bike is lovely too always liked black and gold wheels u did great job on your bike, ball park how much did it cost to do, my uncle in early 80s had a 250n in those  colour your bike reminds me very much of it, of course it was never  that condition, in few years i like to do full strip and paint frame and fix it up so it last for long time (if i ever get time)

Sorry, but the letters just must be metallic gold to match the wheels, rather like your grab rail in fact.  Twisted Evil

ha, went for silver as it will compliment the majority of bikes...... I dunno maybe I could get them in silver and gold I'm too sure how many are running gold wheels see what the interest is.

@wornsprockets, answer is probably too much think the tear down and rebuild was about a grand, then that again on paint costs and then probably that again on toys such as exhaust and shocks etc and then some on top of that too!

@sullivj, but would you put it on Tango?!

As JerryFudd is well aware, there's no way in the world I would stick any sticker on Tango unless it were made by Mr Honda himself!

That said, I will happily buy one and stick it on something else.

So, I went and installed Inkscape to see what all the hubbub was about.

Opening new_font.svg got me this:

Clearly not something resembling the original. Guess I need the font too?

so that's a thumbs up from 4 people ......any more?

reckon it would work out to £4 posted payable via PayPal which includes at least £1 per sticker going to the club/charity periodically transferred out when the sum builds up.

Glad to see it still looks OK when it's stuck to the bike...

As you might have guessed, yes, I'll have one Smile

@stormbringer: yeah, we had some issues with the SVG export from inkscape not quite working when viewed in things
that weren't my version of inkscape. I exported a PDF from inkscape and didn't have any problems... would you like the PDF?

Info on what version of Inkscape you use and the font itself would be my first priority.

I find it hard to 'let go' of something that's not working as expected - like your svg. I've ungrouped a few of the elements and see the 500 is made with a horizontal line. The displaced text looks like it's being word-wrapped, and I intend to have a go at finding out what happens here.
