.....just an idea but could some over priced vinyl say with the website address (in silver on the swinging arm side) with profits going to the site be a good idea for contributing whilst also gaining publicity at the same time?

Never heard of any of those myself either, I'll message "spitonyourgrave22" the owner.
There always used to be a Paypal option on there so not sure why it's changed!

Yes, I did think of a sticker some time ago, I didn't get very far with it. It isn't a bad idea though.

Apparently it's an issue with Forumotion which the site is built on, see:

Note:  I've split this topic and moved the sticker related conversation to a new topic...

If we did something like the stickers idea then we'd have to arrange for someone to collect the money and then use one of the afore mentioned methods to buy forummotion credits, which can be used to pay for the site.

Of course, if we did this, we would test that the payment method actually worked (with a small amount of money, say, a quid or something) before we put any larger sum through it.

Anyway, I suspect that they may get PayPal to work again at some point.

AFAIK we are currently not running out of money, but someone closer to the action may know better than me.

Yes I think you're right there ET, it's a shame that site owner Dan "spitonyourgrave22" is not around very often to pass on feedback.

Would he consider passing it on?

I thought he didn't come on that often either but the last time I looked at his profile he had been - and looking to buy a CB! Smile

Hi all. I am around still- just not as often as I'd like to be. Teamster is correct. The issue is with the forum software this forum is run on. They7 deactivated PayPal due to license issue with PayPal. All they are saying right now is that they are working on another gateway for people to pay with. So for now, if you'd like to contribute I think the PayPal account is the best way to do this.
