buying standard exhaust clamp

Post by dado_dassler on Fri 08 May 2015, 1:53 pm

hello folks! Very Happy
i have recently bought a standard exhaust to experiment a little and i'm looking for one of these no. 4 on this sketch.
anyone selling or do know of a cheap solution online?
i do have other types of clamps that might fit to it but i want something less bulky if possible.

Ah. Yes, that is the standard exhaust clamp.

I haven't tried this, but I suspect you could replace it with two or three large jubilee (hose) clips, like these

you can probably get them in the correct diameter if you go to the right shop.

thank you for the input.
i have found some different ones that i will fit on to begin with, and if none of them fit properly then i will try with the hose clips.
the left and top ones seem very powerful, the right one is 1st on the list.

The one on the right hand side of your picture looks a bit like some that are on my old Ducati (from 1974!)

Anyway, as long as it clamps well it doesn't really matter what you use...
