Wondered why my back brake was binding on

I came to a stop at the end of my street and couldnt pull away again. This is why.......

A similar thing happened to me. The cam in the brake plate was starting to seize and had snapped the pedal return spring. I stripped and cleaned it all and added a new spring. All works fine now.

Mine was purely neglect!  I annoyingly didn't have any grease so i gave it a squirt of chain lube (white wax type)
