You know on the right-hand side of the airbox there are the sort of guide/clip things for the fuel tank breather & overflow hoses?
I think it's supposed to route along one of those clips and down behind airbox inward of the frame.

It hangs there so it can 'breathe', like the fuel tank breather hoses!

I think that connects to the spigot high up on the airbox, Item 3.
Unless of course, that's where the little filter attaches scratch

little filter goes to item 2 on carb assy, item 3 on the airbox is the rocker cover breather Smile

as people have said I believe item 24 on the carb assy just runs down the RHS of the airbox with a little rubber loop that goes round the thermostat syphon tube for support and then just dangles open ended - which would make sense why it's driving me mad going through pictures and diagrams looking for where it goes and what it connects too!
