Most motorcycle problems are caused by the nut that connects the handlebars to the saddle.

I just purchased my first Honda motorcycle. And it is a CB 500 (PC26). I also own a Aprilia RSV Mille (1999) that is close to my love for Italian transportation. I'm a proud owner of an Alfa 75 and have driven Alfa's since I had my drivers license. Unfortunately nothing driveable came from Italy so now it's a BMW 3-series for normal driving.

I've always had a weakness for Honda motorcycles. In my search for a "winter bike" I came across a CB 500 from 1994. After searching the Web it seemed a good choice for daily driving. I travel 16 km (10 miles) single trip daily in an urban environment (Rotterdam). So it seemed a good choice.

Until now, I'm convinced with my choice. The bike has run 60000 km (38.000 mi) but that may be questionable. It is running allright and has had maintenance the last years.

Just after some standard TLC got it running better.

In the two weeks I've been riding it, it has proved a charm to drive. It is realy quick as a commutor bike and is easy to navigate through rush hour traffic. And it has the Honda sportiness build into it.

BTW, I will post some pictures of the bike real soon.

Cheers,
Rob

Welcome to the forum Rob.  There's a few guys in Holland who have also discovered the delights of the CB500.

Welcome to you Rob! You'll love the CB500, it's bullet proof if you change the oil regularly Smile

Glad to hear that you're getting on well with the CB500. They were pretty much designed for commuting (and similar things) so it should be good - happily it is also pretty good at some other things too!
