worn clutch

Post by cuddlydave38 on Fri 16 Jan 2015, 1:38 pm

Hello I have a CB500 1996 and can anyone tell me if you are supposed have play in the clutch basket. When I grab hold of the basket itself there is slight movement between the basket and the cog and also there is movement on the springs in the back ..is this normal or should I replace it.Any advice would be appreciated.

Take a look at at my thread entitled 'Clutch Improvement' in the upgrades section.
This will explain where the play has come from.
I'm still in the process of finding an alternative to buying a new basket.
