TWOHUNDREDANDFIFTYQUID!!!!

You jammy git! Your bike is coming along really nicely and definitely doesn't look like a budget build. Did you spray with the lump in situ? My high-mileage hound needs this doing and I can't arsed to drop the mill out.

yep done in situ. spent a lot of time degreasing it using gunk. Then rubbed it down with a fine wet and dry. masked it off and used halfords VHT aluminium spray (which was not a great match to the original colour).

Bloody good job if you ask me.

I assume you're keeping a track of costs. You could end up with a smashing bike for less than £500?

Nice to see the transformation. What miles does it have?

Wow!

FYI: Today I asked what one of the dealers in my area wanted for a tatty looking yellow 500S with 50kkm on the clock. Reply was '2900£'. It'd taken me 10 seconds to compile a list of - well, you don't want to know....
Twentynine hundred...

No. I didn't buy it. I politely uttered some 'uhmm'-like sounds and went on with what i'd come to do - look for a bargain in the clothing department.

I ended up leaving with a Held Street leather jacket - last year's model.

Now, go have a look at your bike and think about what you put into it. Then - feel priviledged.
