Braided Brake Hoses
(GoodRidge)
(Hel)
Seem to a be a standard and obvious choice amongst many. Benefits are more feel and less fade under braking. They don't expand under pressure like normal brake lines do. A pretty cheap upgrade worth every penny. People are divided over whether it is worth getting the rear hose or not. Plus they look trick.

Brake Pads
(EBC)
What is the point in upgrading your lines if you are just gonna leave the pads stock? Fit HH pads to your brake calipers for some extra stopping power, and brake grip. Make sure you always buy pads for road use. Yes you can buy grippier pads, but they are designed for race use, and will actually be WORSE on the road in most conditions. They need to be pretty hot to work properly you see? So when you are trundling to Tesco in the wet you'll suddenly find you have to use your foot as a brake.
