There's a seller on eBay with Hagon shocks and a radiator fan

His name is kieran2875

Was looking at them today on my weekly browse for bits.

thanks mate ive seen that too im bidding on the fan so dont bid against me Laughing
i took my shock off yesterday wire brushed it and the top part painted with a rust paint, it seems to be working fine no leaks when pumped or bend rod. im going to try to save the shocks to save on cost, at least for now, im desperate for the fan and the radiator doesnt look great but ive never changed one, thats easy enough but if the radiator doesnt leak and the bike doesnt overheat is there anything else i should look for fault wise? the hangers broke and some of the fins are damaged but doesnt look a lot. Im going to take it off today after the shocks and take a good look.

Shocks really loose their pazzaz over time, i rekon you would be much better off waiting a bit and buying some new ones

well ive had them off and gave them a good clean and they dont look too bad to be honest, they work as they should and the top where their rusting i brushed up and used a bit of rust primer and then hammerite and the top seems much more solid. If i get 12 months out of them then great, i just want to get it all running well
first then replace parts one by one rarther than everything at once! Very Happy

+1. I've gone through two pairs of used shocks (about to fit a 3rd) in 9,000 miles.

wow, ive only ever took these off Laughing ive still a lot to learn i dont even know if mine are on the right setting i should research the best for me really. for now as long as they work that will do but i will check the settings, im guessing the further up the notches the firmer the suspension?

Depends what you mean by further up the notches. The more the spring is compressed the firmer the suspension. Wink

Adjusting the "notches" only has the effect of changing the ride height. The spring rate - "stiffness" doesn't change. The only way to stiffen the suspension ie. to make it firmer, is to change springs for ones of a higher rate.

that looks sadly familiar - exactly where my radiator split, in rear bottom o/side corner Sad

Tried to braze it, but the rad alloy wasn't having any of it for some reason (even with ally friendly braze).

Ended up using JB Weld epoxy (rated to 500 deg C and lots of psi) as radiators in very short supply it seems and new Honda ones are £300 odd quid!!!
Anyway, the epoxy is holding just fine and should be a permanent repair Smile
