ferodo Sintered Brake Pads

Post by geewhizz on Wed 09 Jan 2013, 8:31 pm

I need new pads very soon for the front and came across Ferodo sintered pads on ebay that seem cheap. Around £14.

Was going to give them a pop until I read in the description that they are intended for use with stainless steel discs only.

I've got a feeling mine aren't stainless (on my CB500 W)as there was a bit of rust on them when i didnt use the bike for a week or so, but im not 100%

Recon its worth giving them a go anyway or would they rip through my disc pretty quick?

Here's the link to ebay -

appreciate any help.

on closer inspection they look to be a different shape to all the other cb500 pads on the page.

I've not looked at mine yet to know what shape they are...

btw i bought ferodo sintered front pads from a local shop and after a few hundred miles of breaking in they seem to be functioning pretty well. possibly not as good in the wet as my old ones (i think they were brembo)but not much in it.

hope this helps anyone considering these pads...

I'd never heard of them to be honest, thanks for the info though!
I have always used EBC sintered pads and they never let me down.
