Breaking for spares - CB500 'T' reg - most parts available

Post by alexibrow on Wed 21 Nov 2012, 12:13 pm

I've just bought this bike because I want the front fairing and luggage rack.

http://atsearch.autotrader.co.uk/uvl/large_image_popup.jsp?id=201241487937424&largeId=10784469&csslocation=http://dealerservices.autotrader.co.uk/dealers/533884/533884

The forks are slightly bent, but most other parts (excluding the frame) will be available from next week - please PM me with whatever you need.

Prices will be cheap as I need to get rid of the rest of the bike ASAP.

I might be tempted to part with the round headlight and related bits and bobs off my bike, once I've replaced them with the front fairing.

Cheers,

Alex.

Givi Monorack and Honda mounting plate now for sale, along with scruffy but usable large Honda top box.

The rack's a bit scabby, but it's all there and it's straight.

£50 for the rack, including large indicators;
£15 for the Honda mounting plate;
£10 for the matching latching Honda top box.

"Some idiot" will be a racer, no need for pillion footrests etc creating a sharp edge or anything to catch a foot in if it goes south.
Rh footrests can be like golddust, good luck with the search.

Yes, but I need to contact another member who wanted a whole bunch of stuff including discs. If he doesn't want it, it's yours for £25 posted.

- No footpegs, sorry.
- Handlebars look OK, but not sure. Will have a proper look and let you know. £10 posted if OK.
- Clocks still available, they're off an 'S' so I don't know if they're the same as the unfaired ones.
- Grip and tube - £5 posted, as long as you don't mind waiting until I get the engine running! I plan to do this soon.

No clutch lever bracket just now, sorry.

Well done for selling this on the forum rather than on ebay! Might be worth posting another 'updated' list with what you have got left.

Good idea, although I haven't had time to sell much yet! Been too busy with Christmas, a poorly Triumph Trophy, and my son's birthday (this weekend coming).

I've decided to list each part separately, as I strip them off the bike. That way, they're all ready to go should somebody want them. All parts are priced cheaply, to sell quickly!

If I haven't had any interest in a week or two of posting them up here, I'll put them on ebay, as I need to get my money back on this bike ASAP.

PLEASE DON'T REPLY TO THIS THREAD; if you need anything that I haven't posted separately in the For Sale section, please PM me.

At the time of writing, the following parts are either sold or scrapped:

- Front caliper
- Front master cylinder
- Front brake line
- Engine crash bars
- Both heel plates
- Rear brake lever
- Both handlebar levers
- Headlight
- Front mudguard
- Front forks
- Bottom yoke and steering stem
- All the rear plastic fairing panels
- RH middle panel (fuse box cover)
- Rear light lens
- Radiator and fan
- Handlebars
