swingarm pivot bolt caps?

Post by Watchman on Sat 04 Aug 2012, 5:12 pm

One of those chrome/silver swingarm caps decided to fall off my bike at some point today. Mad

Does anyone know where you can buy new ones?

I've searched the web, but can't find anything.

Cheers,

Very useful link there Teamster and thanks for posting.

Not that we'll need to look at it too often due to the good build quality on the CB (and Hondas in general). Laughing

dont  know, how it is named in english, but this black, rubber thing, who is used to block kitchens sink outlet.
i found, that one with outside diameter of 43.5 mm fits good, cost less than euro, and can be buyed in most local stores...

See this thread - there's some useful points made:

To summarise, these 45mm tube caps will work but may require the flanges altering slightly - which is a quick job with a very sharp knife:

NB - I cleaned the bolt recess well, and then "plugged" w/ grease before pressing the plastic caps on.

Yes they are a bit dearer - but I think they'll fit more tightly and securely than a kitchen sink plug.

A strange hybrid of Mad Max and some DIY craft off Blue Peter.
